Last month, a rumor started to swell on the side of Konami and PES. eFootball PES 2021 would not be a new installment as we understand it, but a big update of eFootball PES 2020.
The rumor was then supported by the appearance of a eFootball PES 2021 Season Update in Australia, but Konami did not wish to comment. Today it’s Microsoft which enters the dance, since a card of the same name appeared on the Microsoft Store, with some visuals and description, which now leaves little doubt as to the existence of this update, even if Konami has not yet formalized anything. In the description, one can read in particular:
This product is an updated edition of eFootball PES 2020 (launched in September 2019) which contains the latest player and club membership data. Some championships will have their squad updated after publication.
By the way, because of the Covid-19, we are told that some rules put in place in the championships may not correspond what players will find at stake. Content and membership would therefore be updated with several licensed clubs, myClub mode, Matchday events and the Masters League, without forgetting Euro 2020. No price is indicated, but according to Xboxygen, we are heading towards a cost of € 29.90. For the moment, nothing indicates a balancing or modifications of gameplay.
