KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. PT Bank Muamalat Tbk said that until now the process of increasing capital and finding investors is still continuing. Bank Muamalat’s Managing Director Achmad K. Permana explained, currently there are indeed several new names that want to become investors of Bank Muamalat, and are in the process of applying for licenses to the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Permana said that the process had actually begun since the beginning of this year but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the process had stalled.

Furthermore, Permana added that aside from discussing the plan to increase capital in the FSA, he also discussed the management’s business plan and the company’s financial capability.

As additional information, actually on February 4, 2020 OJK Chairman Wimboh Santoso said that at the time the investor’s entry into Muamalat Bank had found an illumination point and the FSA had also given the blessing to potential investors, the Al-Falah consortium.
