Efficient Strategy to Take Down Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy: Trick Them to Fall Off a Cliff

Since its launch, thousands of wizards around the world have been playing Hogwarts Legacy. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can play it for free via a trial, albeit for an excruciatingly short time.

Many of them are modifying the game to include more spells, discovering new game details and trying to kill immortal NPCs. There are also players who have been finding different ways to kill trolls.

On their latest adventures, they discovered a genius way to get rid of trolls with minimal effort. These creatures are a huge threat in this game, being giant monsters that can quickly knock out the player if they are not careful.

They are also usually quite resistant, being able to take a lot of damage before finally falling; that is unless you abuse forbidden curses like a true dark wizard.

However, one player shared his own method of dispatching trolls quickly and efficiently.

How to take down a troll with a single hit

Reddit user “confusoplayer” created a post with the following message:

“Tricking a troll into falling off a cliff seems a more realistic strategy than fighting it with a wand.”

Video posted by the player shows him luring one of the beasts to a cliff, hopping on a broomstick, and safely watching the troll fall to its annihilation.

The monsters are big and strong, but cunning doesn’t seem to be one of their greatest attributes.

Several players praised the strategy—many of them wishing they’d thought of the idea during their own endeavors.

“I’ve been playing this game wrong.” “Why did not I think about it before? I was playing yesterday and I had to fight two armored trolls at the same time.”

Ooh, I’m trying this ASAP.”

That’s what netizens said.

Evidently, the trick used by confusedplayer is much more efficient than prolonging the battle with long spell combos, or you can just hit them with an Avada Kedavra and be done with it.

“Hogwarts Legacy” fans are great at having fun and unlocking more and more details hidden in the game — a good example of this is when a player created their own side quest involving a fish they found on land.

Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users still have to wait quite a while before they receive their acceptance letter, after several delays in their version of the game.
