Lhe Minister of Education does not intend to ban inclusive writing, as in France, but also wishes to enrich the debate on this subject, she says in the columns of Sudpresse titles.
“All means to fight against sexism and discrimination must be considered,” she said. “Inclusive writing has a role to play in equality policies. However, its use cannot interfere with the understanding of messages, especially in a learning context, ”she explains.
The Minister approves the principle and objective of inclusive writing, but notes that “these new linguistic practices and proposals are not equivalent, nor always consistent with the principles of the functioning of the language”.
