Two and a half years ago, the municipality of Kriens caused a sensation across Switzerland when it abolished traditional homework at primary school level. Instead, compulsory and voluntary study times were integrated into the lessons. The pilot project has now been completed and the results of the evaluation are to be published soon. On request, Markus Buholzer, Rector of the Kriens primary school, said: “We will provide detailed information about the evaluation after the carnival holidays.” But he could take so much in advance:
