Educators are increasingly questioning the usefulness of daily homework. Alternatively, independent learning and deepening of the school material are integrated into the lessons.

Two and a half years ago, the municipality of Kriens caused a sensation across Switzerland when it abolished traditional homework at primary school level. Instead, compulsory and voluntary study times were integrated into the lessons. The pilot project has now been completed and the results of the evaluation are to be published soon.
