Covid: Eduardo Ferri has died in these hours. He encouraged his patients online with the slogan “everything will be fine”
“Everything will be fine“, Unfortunately this was not the case for Eduardo Ferri, a well-known doctor from Pomezia who died last Monday after contracting Covid-19. He participated in the episodes of Arachne tv broadcast on YouTube that I had as its title the slogan that had become in vogue during the spring lockdown.
Ferri was a psychiatrist at the Castelli hospital, right where he was hospitalized and where he died. The mayor of Pomezia Andriano Zuccalà he recalled him for the two human skills and abilities thanks to which various inclusion projects have been launched at the same Municipality and the Mental Health Center of the ASL: “A man dedicated to work, always at the forefront of the care and protection of his patients“Said the mayor.
That motto as well as the name of the program was also his favorite. In these hours, with his tragic death, they are circulating on the web his interventions where he tried to reassure I repeat those three words.

Ferri, 67, sought not only to reassure his patients but also to give suggestions from a mental point of view on how to deal with this anomalous situation, the fear of the virus and the inevitable repercussions of the lockdown.

In about two months he would be retiring. A well-deserved milestone after a career characterized by the affection of his patients. He was also politically committed having been a city councilor in Genzano. The mental health center in the Pomezia-Ardea area of the ASL 6 of Rome will be named after him. This morning in videoconference he was also remembered by Alessio D’Amato, Lazio Regional Health Councilor.
