Ed Sheeran surprises subway performer with impromptu performance

While Mike Yung was performing Ed Sheeran’s new song “Eyes Closed”, the British singer appeared behind his back singing the lyrics to the music.

“Oh wow! You made my day,” says Yung with a big smile on his face.

The video captured by the Instagram account @subwaycreatures ends with Ed Sheeran offering the subway singer two gigs.

Mike Yung, an artist in his own right

Mike Yung is not unknown to the general public. Star of New York subway stations where he sings, he is known to have participated in the 12th season of America’s Got Talent. A show where he had been until the semi-finals.

A big fan of Ed Sheeran, he performed “Thinking Out Loud” in a subway station in 2017. The video has nearly 6 million views on YouTube.

Mike Yung also has a song made with DJ Martin Garrix. “Dreamer” was released in 2018.
