Economy of the week, restrictions on mall-restaurant operations to Ferrari hybrid

Jakarta (ANTARA) – In the past week, there was some important and interesting information in the news on the economy throughout Indonesia which is still worth listening to at the weekend. Starting from the restrictions on mall-restaurant operations until 8 pm due to the outbreak of COVID-19 cases, the extension of the import PPH 22 exemption, Indosat launching 5G, to the electric car battery factory starting production in 2023.

Government limits mall-restaurant operations until 8pm starting June 22

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the operating hours of shopping centers such as malls, markets and other trade centers, are a maximum of 20.00 WIB or 8 pm, from 22 June 2021 to 5 July 2021. This is one of the policy adjustments for the thickening and strengthening of the Implementation of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in order to reduce the rate of transmission of COVID-19.

Import PPh 22 exemption will be extended until December

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government would extend the exemption of PPh article 22 imports until December 2021. Extension of incentives until December 2021 was also given for Income Tax Article 21 borne by the Government (DTP), final PPh DTP for MSMEs, a 50 percent reduction Article 25 income tax installments, and accelerated VAT refunds.

Ferrari launches 296 GTB hybrid sports car

Ferrari unveiled its first plug-in hybrid car, the 296 GTB, on Thursday, as the luxury sports carmaker known for its roaring combustion engine retools its range for the electric era. The Hybrid 296 GTB is Ferrari’s third hybrid to enter series production, which does not include a limited edition vehicle. This car follows the SF 90 Stradale in 2019 and a convertible version, the SF90 Spider, last year.

Bali’s readiness to open international tourism doors in July

The Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, assured the readiness of the local area to open the door to international tourism in July 2021, by referring to various supporting indicators. “The government’s readiness, public health readiness and the readiness of tourism supporting facilities are very good,” said the Deputy Governor of Bali in a press statement received by ANTARA in Denpasar, Wednesday.

Electric car battery factory starts production 2023

Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said the battery cell factory for electric vehicles or cars in Indonesia will begin construction at the end of July and will start operating and producing in 2023. The battery cell factory is an investment project between a consortium from South Korea LG and PT Industri Battery Indonesia or Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC), where in the first phase, the production capacity will reach 10 giga watt per hour.

Indosat launches 5G internet in Solo
