The Economic Court in Cairo rejected the appeal filed by the journalist Abu Al-Maati Zaki to cancel the ruling fining him 10,000 pounds in favor of Counselor Mortada Mansour.
The Appellate Economic Court ruled in May 2022 to cancel the imprisonment of Abu Al-Maati Zaki, and continue to fine him 10,000 pounds and a temporary civil compensation of 5,000 pounds in favor of Mortada Mansour.
The prosecution accused Zaki of insulting, slandering, and intentionally disturbing Mortada Mansour through social media.
