Easier than Netflix: you can share your Disney + account with so many friends

Although Disney + is cheaper than its competitor Netflix, 6.99 euros and 69.99 euros can burden individuals’ wallets. Of course, the question arises whether you can push the costs even further by sharing your account with friends or family. The keyword is “Password Sharing”.

For comparison: at Netflix it works as follows: The basic subscription at a price of 7.99 euros allows streaming only on a single device, whether PC, smartphone or TV does not matter. However, there are two other subscription models, which then include more devices at an additional cost. For 15.99 euros you can stream with up to four devices at the same time in the premium subscription, the most expensive offer. However, the people with whom you share the account or who have your own profile in your account must also live in a household, according to the terms and conditions of Netflix. You also reserve the right to penalize violations of this rule by terminating your account or paying damages.-

But enough about the competition: How will Disney handle the subject of “password sharing”? Since the service has been available in America since the end of last year, there is already detailed information here: You can up to seven profiles create in an account and you can subscribe to it, whether monthly or yearly up to four devices at the same time stream. With these generous guidelines, the way for account sharing is basically paved.

Disney seems to have understood that it is common nowadays to share a streaming service with friends or family. You want to be looser than Netflix for now. Michael Paull, chief of Disney +, explains to The Verge: “We have developed a back-end technology that we use to better understand the behavior of the user. If the system registers strange events, there are mechanisms that prevent this process.”-

So the user behavior will be analyzed and if the account is used excessively, the user should expect termination. For the time being, however, there is no clear statement about precise guidelines. However, one can assume that Disney will let go of the reins for the time being and will only intervene when user behavior becomes completely rampant.
