Early termination for the Verstappen team in Daytona’s virtual 24 hours

Max Verstappen crawled in the simulator again this weekend for a virtual endurance race with his Team Redline. Unfortunately for him and his teammates, connection problems brought an early end to the race.

This time Verstappen formed a team with Dutchman Atze Kerkhof and the Germans Dominik Färber and Patrick Schneider. The team got off to a good start in the first part of the race. Verstappen and his teammates moved up to third place in the rankings.

But a look at the live timing of iRacing on Sunday morning taught that Team Redline DP 1 had to drop out at night. The team that operated from a space in Germany suffered from connection problems and was therefore excluded from participation.

Verstappen’s biggest achievement in the virtual racing world so far was the victory he achieved last year with McLaren driver Lando Norris. The talented racing duo then won the virtual 24 hours of Spa under the flag of Team Redline.

When the schedule permits, Verstappen is happy to spend his weekend in the simulator for adventures as an endurance race. He is now fully in training for the upcoming Formula 1 season, which starts on March 15 in Melbourne, Australia.
