Well, it is purely and only the mechanics that are shown here. And probably not even everything in that area. That is of course the core, and I also hope with you that there is more innovation in that area. Think, for example, of old-school freestyle tricks á la Rodney Mullen. That said, I don’t remember being able to do flips in Skate 3? This is the only way I see new challenges.

As a big second I would say that the game world also plays a big role, if it is huge and varied then I would even be happy with a game that plays like Skate 3. This is what I still miss a bit with a SkaterXL or Session, a large open world where you can just cruise in search of a nice obstacle. (I haven’t touched these games for a while, so who knows, maybe that might already be possible).

Long story short, we can’t say much on the basis of these images, there is still a whole game to be built around it. The fact that it comes to PC is in any case a big plus.

But yeah. So it remains EA to see first, then believe.
