Eagles beat Valongo na Luz 7-3

After the draw (2-2) against HC Braga in the 1st round of the national championship, Benfica won this Sunday in Luz the victory in the 2nd round, beating Valongo 7-3.
The Eagles reached the break already leading 4-0, then made it 6-1, allowing the team now coached by Renato Garrido to react until 6-3, before Benfica made it 7-3 in the end.
Gonçalo Pinto scored two goals in the rout of the national champions, with Diogo Rafael, Carlos Nicolía, Nil Roca, Pol Manrubia and Roberto di Benedetto also scoring. On Valongo’s side, João Lima, Carlos Ramos and João Almeida scored.
After two rounds, FC Porto leads with six points, the same as Sp. Tomar, Sporting and Oliveirense. Benfica follows with four.
