EA now lets you see the lootbox content in FIFA

EA gives us transparent boxes

There has been a lot of criticism around EA and their way of handling loot boxes in games. Now they have changed a bit FIFA 21 and lets you see the contents of the boxes before you buy them.

EA now calls these boxes “Ultimate Team Preview Packs” and will let the player see what the box contains before deciding to buy with FUT coins or FIFA points. FIFA points are currency in the game the player buys with real money, while FUT coins can be earned inside the game.

Worth mentioning is that this ONLY applies to boxes that are bought from the FUT store. Remaining boxes such as are rewards from Division Rivals will work as they did before and not have the preview option.

EA drawer systems have made headlines around the world and some countries even count the system as gambling, other countries have completely banned games with loot boxes from being sold. It is obvious that EA is now trying to change the system so that it stays within the framework of what is acceptable and legal.
