E-health: the pandemic whets the appetite of tech giants and start-ups

Opportunity makes the thief. Whether they are tech giants or start-ups, many groups have positioned themselves or have further accelerated in health with the health crisis, some even no longer hesitating to be an actor in the debate. “We need a diagnostic tool that would be widely distributed around the world. How do we do that ? The best way is to have an artificial intelligence bot that can do a self-diagnostic test ”, poured out, Tuesday, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, in the “Financial Times”.

Before that, the Redmond group had launched – along with the American health insurance giant UnitedHealth Group – the ProtectWell application which offers daily symptom screening. On their side, IBM and Salesforce have worked together to streamline communications between the former’s Digital Health Pass (which consolidates the user’s health information in one application) and the latter’s Work software, which helps employers manage returning to work.
