E-biker died in a collision in Mittersill: lawsuit against drivers of small trucks

The accused worker (defense attorney Hans Peter Bauer, Salzburg) rammed a 67-year-old e-mountain bike rider on Felbertauernstrasse in Mittersill with his VW Transporter in September of this year. The e-biker was thrown into a meadow and suffered a broken neck.

According to the criminal complaint, the accused brought about the death of the 67-year-old “negligently, disregarding the attention required in traffic”. Specifically, the handlebars of the van “bent down to pick up a beverage bottle rolling around in the footwell”, thereby overlooking and ramming the e-biker in front of him.
