If it has been customary for delegations of all Latvian municipalities with their collectives, municipal leadership, flags and pennants to go through the center of Riga through the center of the festival, they are encouraged and greeted by spectators, as well as special greeters at the roadside. who later greeted and greeted all the participants somewhere, this time it was the other way around – the delegations were in their homes, but the organizers and greeters of the festival went to the counties – with a holiday car and a solar wheel. The joy of meeting 7,000 people in the summer heat, sun and rain in 42 municipalities – everything happened exactly as a real song festival procession deserves!
The road “Saulesvija” is designed as a recording of face-to-face moments and videos in less than an hour in each municipality. , created exciting video greetings and video performances.
During the event, from July 12 to July 29, the holiday car drove into each of the 43 municipalities of Latvia.
“Saulesvija” road was divided into several rays – the first from July 12 to July 14 drove through Kurzeme (July 12 – Kuldiga, Jurkalne, Ventspils; July 13 – Liepaja, Grobina, Saldus; July 14 – Talsi, Roja, Engure, Tukums, Kandava, Dobele);
On July 15 and 16 he traveled around Zemgale and Latgale counties (July 15 – Jelgava, Eleja, Ozolnieki, Bauska, Iecava, Salaspils, July 16 – Skriveri, Aizkraukle, Plavinas, Jekabpils, Livani).
From July 19 to 22, the Holiday Car went to Latgale, Sēlija and Vidzeme counties (July 19 – Preili, Ilūkste, Slutišķi, Daugavpils, July 20 – Dagda, Krāslava, Rēzekne, Lūznava, July 21 – Ludza, Balvi, Alūksne).
From July 22 to July 26 – in Vidzeme (July 22 – Madona, Gulbene, Smiltene, July 23 – Valka, Strenči, Valmiera, Burtnieki, Mazsalaca, Limbaži, July 26 – Priekuli, Cēsis, Sigulda, Inčukalns, Krimulda, Sēja, Saulkrasti).
On July 27-29, he visited Pieriga and ended in Riga (July 27 – Carnikava, Ādaži, Garkalne, Ropaži, Ulbroka, Ogre, July 28 – Ķekava, Olaine. July 29 – Jūrmala, Babīte, Mārupe, Rīga).
CONTEXT:
Latvian school youth song and dance festival events # dziedundejo2021 take place from July 12 to the end of October. It is planned that the total program of the festival consists of 15 different events in choir singing, vocal music, instrumental music, dance, visual and visual plastic art, folklore. Events are planned in municipalities, as close as possible to the place of residence, outdoors. The number of participants in any celebration is from 1 to the number allowed in the country at that time, there is no large gathering, no centralized rehearsals and a long rehearsal process is planned. Events will be recorded on video. All videos will be donated to the Museum of Literature and Music for the upcoming Song and Dance Festival exposition as a bright testimony to the 21st century.
