The last second league act of the Saxons began with vigorously mixed staff. For Kevin Broll, Marco Hartmann, Chris Löwe, René Klingenburg and Simon Makienok Tim Boss, Josef Husbauer, Ondrej Petrak, Godsway Donyoh and Linus Wahlqvist played. Osnabrück coach Daniel Thioune changed his starting eleven to two positions. Nils Körber and David Blacha played for Philipp Kühn and Moritz Heyer.

Dynamo dominant for leadership
On the pitch, the SGD set the tone at half-time from the start and worked out good chances early on. Petrak and Donyoh awarded their high-caliber (6th / 12th), Marco Terrazzino, however, was in the right place when entering Donyoh and nodded to 1-0 (23rd). Even after the 1-0, the Dresden continued to control the game. Nothing came from Osnabrück offensively in the first half hour, but then Blacha suddenly appeared in front of Dynamo-Keeper Boss and pulled out. Boss was able to fend off the shot with a sensational foot reflex (35.). Just before the break whistle, Terrazzino could have added his second goal. However, the 29-year-old swung too much in the penalty area and missed the good opportunity (45. + 1). With 1: 0 it went into the cabins.

Dynamo has to accept late compensation
After the change of sides, Dynamo started again briskly and went through Patrick Schmidt’s sixth goal of the season with a deserved 2-0 lead (59.). As the game progressed, however, the guests got better and better into the game and showed why they managed to stay in the league. Substitute Anas Ouahim provided a full stroke for the initially surprising connection goal (76th), the equalization to 2-2 by Niklas Schmidt with a wonderful free kick then surprised no one (80th). The whistle blew when the score was 2: 2.

Sports manager Minge said goodbye
Dynamo ends the season bottom of the table. The mini-mini hope that they might still reach the relegation site turned out to be a castle in the air. For Dynamo, it is the third relegation from the 2nd Bundesliga in the 67-year history of the club after 2006 and 2014. The newly appointed sports director Ralf Becker, who will succeed Dynamo idol Ralf Minge, will support the rebuild in the future.

Odd: Before the game, the Dynamo Dresden players had surprised with an action for the current sports manager. To say goodbye to Ralf Minge, the actors ran up in printed denim jackets. “Thanks for everything Mingus!” was there to read next to his portrait. Minge will leave the club at the end of June. All attempts to agree on a new contract had failed.
