DWD Issues Storm Warning for Parts of Baden-Württemberg: Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Expected

The German Weather Service (DWD) has one for parts of Baden-Württemberg storm warning published. Accordingly, there could be heavy, continuous rain and storms from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday, especially in the southern Black Forest, in the Allgäu and on the edge of the Alps. At high altitudes, sometimes strong squalls must be expected. The persistent rain could lead to flooding of small rivers and roads.

Although the start of the new week is relatively mild with temperatures between 11 and 17 degrees per day, it remains rainy and windy. “The start of the week literally falls through,” said DWD meteorologist Nico Bauer. Apart from the extreme north-east of Germany, rain will continue to fall on Monday. “At least the rain in the southwest is getting warmer,” explained Bauer.

According to the DWD, November gray continues to dominate in the middle of the week. Rain keeps falling. Larger amounts of rain will occur, especially in the south. The sun, on the other hand, only rarely shows up.
