Dutch politician Gert-Jan Segers has held a speech in the Lower House in The Hague against the advancing individualism in the corona crisis. With his words he gave a strong sneer at the current government. To reinforce his position, the chairman of the ChristenUnie used a quote from the Flemish writer Willem Elsschot. But the politician did not know the true meaning of the quote – something he is delicately pointed out by the leader of the PvdA, Lodewijk Asscher.
