Due to the Iranian attack, airBaltic has rescheduled the Riga-Dubai route on Sunday and Monday

“airBaltic” explained that last night the airline used an alternative route on the Riga-Dubai route, flying in the airspace of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Also on the route from Dubai to Riga on Monday, it is planned to use the airspace of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, with an additional landing in Burgas, Bulgaria, to refuel. After that, the plane will continue its journey to Riga.

“airBaltic” indicated that no other changes are currently planned.

The airline maintains close contacts with national and international authorities and is ready to adjust its flight schedule if necessary, noted “airBaltic”, adding that if there are any changes in flights in the near future, passengers and the wider public will be informed immediately.

“airBaltic” reminds that in connection with the current situation in Israel, all “airBaltic” flights to and from Tel Aviv have been canceled since October of last year and will be canceled at least until the middle of May this year.

Representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) previously informed that the Iranian attack on Israel poses risks to the safety of civil aviation flights, therefore flight routes are being rescheduled.

The aforementioned measures were implemented to exclude any risks to the safety of passengers, flight crews and aircraft, CAA representatives previously emphasized.

It has already been announced that Iran attacked Israel on Saturday night, April 13, with hundreds of drones and missiles, most of which Israel and its allies managed to intercept.

Iran said it was in response to an April 1 attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus that killed 16 people, including two Iranian generals. Tehran blames Israel for this strike.
