Due to the construction of new metro stations, road sections in “Slatina” are closed

Due to the construction of three new stations of the metropolitan metro section through “Slatina”, beginning on Saturday – January 27, sections of the “Slatina” district are closed to cars, the route of bus 9 is changed and the running interval of this line is reduced, as and on tram #20, the Metropolitan Municipality announced on Friday.

The temporary traffic organization will last about two and a half years.

Starting tomorrow, the entry of road vehicles is prohibited in the following areas along “Geo Milev” Street:

– from “Sitnyakovo” Blvd. to “22nd September” St.;

– from “Blagorodna” street to “Nikolay Copernicus” street;

– from “Ciklama” street to “Slatinska” street.

Buses on line #9 will run from Gen. Gurko St. along the current route to the intersection of Sitnyakovo Blvd. – Geo Milev St., straight along Mihai Eminescu Blvd., along Shipchenski Prohod Blvd. , along “Ivan Dimitrov – Kuklata” street and right along “Geo Milev” street and along the route to the Iskar bus depot. Public transport vehicles will stop at all existing bus and tram stops on the changed section of the route.

Temporary stops are also revealed:

– on Shipchenski Prohod Blvd., 40 m from the left turn from Mihai Eminescu Blvd. in the direction of Iskar bus depot.

– two-way stop on “Ivan Dimitrov – Kuklata” street at the pedestrian crossing for the “Geo Milev” bus station.

The weekday running interval of tram line #20 is reduced from 9 to 6 minutes, and the interval of bus line 9 is reduced from 11 to 17 minutes.

During the construction of the metro stations, drivers should use alternative routes such as Shipchenski Prohod Blvd., Nikolai Kopernik St. and Asen Yordanov Blvd.
