Eight deputies of the City Council requested that an extraordinary meeting be convened, expressing the opinion in their request: “Veide has mainly been involved in solving economic issues, participated in construction meetings. However, a number of projects have been unsuccessfully implemented, which has resulted in countless questions about the wasteful use of municipal funds, contributed to significant project delays (Saulkrasti stage, 6 street construction / repair project, heating main project, LED lighting project, etc.), which raises questions about competence or worst case of interest. Bruno Veide has had the opportunity to control the whole process of economic projects from the beginning to the end, so in our opinion, Veide must take joint responsibility for the poor quality of these projects. ”
Due to the fact that according to the law it is obligatory to be a deputy, Oksana Vanaga was appointed as the deputy chairman of the council, but Vanaga will not receive a salary for this work, because the chairman of the council will be replaced only when the chairman is on leave or other absence.
The saved funds will be used usefully – for the arrangement of the municipal infrastructure.
