Dublin actress Jenny Dixon’s premature twins finally come home in heartwarming video

Popular Irish actress, Jenny Dixon, best known for her role in the soap opera Fair City, recently welcomed twin daughters into the world with her husband, ex-TD Tom Neville. The couple has been sharing their journey from pregnancy to parenthood, and now they have announced that they are bringing their newborn babies home, six weeks after their birth. This news has been met with excitement from fans and well-wishers, who are eager to see the happy family together. In this article, we delve into the couple’s journey to parenthood and explore the joy of bringing their twin girls home.

Dublin actress Jenny Dixon recently announced the homecoming of her premature twin girls, Bell and Capri. The babies were born in February and have been in the neo-natal unit in Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital ever since. Jenny shared the news on social media, accompanying a video montage of the family leaving the hospital with their daughters and ringing the bell before leaving. Jenny expressed gratitude to “the superstars who looked after our little princesses and everyone who’s been a part of our journey.”

Jenny Dixon is best known for her role as Kerri-Ann Bishop in the long-running RTE soap Fair City. However, before going into acting, Jenny was a teacher. She later spent time in Los Angeles, trying her hand at acting and modelling, and famously hung out with Hugh Hefner in his Playboy mansion.

Tom Neville, Jenny’s husband, was a Fine Gael TD for Limerick county until he lost his seat in the last election. Tom hails from Rathkeale and was initially co-opted to Limerick county council in 2003 to replace his father. Following the economic crash, he emigrated to Australia for four years. When Dan gave up his Dail seat in 2016, Tom ran and was elected to replace him. Tom has also tried his hand at acting, appearing in several short films. Earlier this year, he took up a new job in London with TikTok in their brand management division.

Jenny and Tom tied the knot in Dublin in June 2019, with then Taoiseach and fellow Fine Gael politician Leo Varadkar wishing them well. The couple announced the birth of their twin girls back in February 2023. “Bella Sky Neville and Capri Lucia Neville were born Monday 20th February 2023 (girls in neo natal and doing well),” announced Jenny. “To Professor Jennifer Donnelly and the entire team of midwives and staff we thank you so much.”

Former Miss World Rosanna Davison was among the first to congratulate the couple. “Congratulations to you both and welcome to the world Bella and Capri! Beautiful names,” she wrote on Instagram.

Premature birth can be a stressful experience for any family. But thanks to the great work of the neonatal units and the hardworking staff of the Rotunda Hospital, Bell and Capri are now home with their parents. Jenny expressed her excitement for what the future holds for her daughters: “Welcome home baby girls. Welcome to the world Bella & Capri. May everything great come your way. Let’s have adventures, let’s buy the dolls, dance in the rain & go to all kinds of magical lands. Mammy & Daddy.” It is wonderful to see such a happy ending for this family after what must have been a difficult journey.

As Jenny Dixon and Tom Neville bring their twin daughters home from the hospital, their journey as parents begins. It has been a challenging six weeks for the couple, but they have shown immense strength, resilience, and love throughout the entire process. Everyone at Fair City and beyond wishes them the very best as they navigate this new chapter of their lives. We look forward to seeing their family grow and flourish, and we thank them for sharing their story with us. Congratulations, Jenny and Tom!
