The figures indicate that the Vivo group which has sold the most smartphones for the second quarter of 2021, a total of 18.6 million smartphones sold. The brand is followed by Oppo (16.5 million), Xiaomi (12.4 million), Apple (8.6 million) and Honor (6.9 million). But the overall market has shrunk year over year, mostly due to Huawei’s impact on its smartphone business.

The big loser in the ranking of the best smartphone sellers in China is Huawei. Ejected from the top 5, the Chinese manufacturer, which is now part of the “Others” category, sold half as many units as in 2020. This decrease could be explained, among other things, by the American embargo which began in May 2019 and by the shortage of electronic components for the Chinese market.
