Brussels airport and air traffic control Skeyes have been testing drones since Thursday with a special mission. Drones are used to keep an eye on birds on the airport grounds and, if necessary, to scare them away. This is done by means of extra speakers that are connected to the device and produce the sound of birds of prey. The project is very important, because a so-called bird strike in which an aircraft collides with birds can have fatal consequences.
