In some federal states, people living in rural regions have recently been able to start driving a moped at the age of 15 upon application.
The ADAC welcomes this decision and hopes that the federal states, which initially decided against it, will follow suit in order to enable the young people to have independent mobility. The BAnane asked itself whether it would not make more sense if the minimum age for a class B driving license were also lowered and 15-year-olds could take the place behind the wheel of a car.
In any case, this is not unimaginable, because in many countries the age for a full driving license is in some cases significantly below that of the EU, according to information from ERGO Insurance, the age limit is only higher in one country.
