The accident happened at around 10:30 PM yesterday evening. At the Houtkaai in Vilvoorde, a car ended up in the canal. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. Two occupants were freed from the car by the emergency services. For a 32-year-old woman, all help came too late. The other passenger, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital in critical condition.
