Five PSG players are due to leave the club
So far, the club from the French capital has said goodbye to several players. Alphonse Areola was sold to West Ham for over nine million euros, and Marcin Bułka was handed over to Nice for two million euros. Angel di Maria (to Juventus) and Xavi Simons (to PSV Eindhoven), while Colin Dagba was loaned to Strasbourg.
The daily “L’Equipe” informs that soon another five players may join this list. Galtier wants them to leave the club in the coming weeks Layvin Kurzawa, Julian Draxler, Georginio WijnaldumAnder Herrera i Rafinha. The closest to leaving at the moment is Wijnaldum, whom AS Roma asked about.
All five players missed the pre-season tour PSG around Japan. Moreover, on Wednesday morning, Parisians began their preparations at the Camp des Loges training center and none of them showed up for class. This may indicate that players have to look for new clubs.
PSG will earn from sales
The contracts of Wijnaldum, Draxler, Kurzawa and Herrera are valid until 2024, therefore PSG will be able to count on earnings after their sale. Rafinhia’s contract is valid until next year. Therefore, they will not be given away for free, as was the case with Angela of Mary.
During their pre-season tour in Japan, PSG played three games and achieved three victories. Christophe Galtier’s side won 2-1 against Kawasaki Frontale, 3-0 against Urawa Red Diamonds and 6-2 against Gamba Osaka.
PSG will start the new season next Sunday when they play against Nantes for Super Cup France. A week later, the new season will begin Ligue 1. Parisians will inaugurate the game from the away match against Clermont.
