The Dresden Monarchs’ first game of the season in the German ERIMA Football League (GFL) is scheduled for mid-May. Two weeks before the start of the regular season against the Paderborn Dolphins, the Straubing Spiders are guests at the stadium on Bärnsdorfer Straße. On Saturday, April 27, 2024 (KickOff 3pm), the first and only test match of the pre-season will be held at the Monarchs training facility.

With a new head coach and a newly assembled squad, the Royals want to fight for the ERIMA GFL crown again. All the players and the coaching staff around Greg Seamon have been working hard on the training ground for several weeks. Against Straubing they want to show for the first time that the hard work was worth it.
“I’m looking forward to our first game on the new artificial turf with great anticipation. It will be another opportunity for the players to test themselves as part of their preparation. They worked hard in the pre-season, so we will give everyone a chance to prove themselves. I want to see us play fast and with intensity,” said Monarchs head coach Seamon.
