“This is our home that we have been building for over 35 years! We have three children, what else could we do, winter is coming?! The fire started in the chimney and only covered the roof. We were lucky they came and acted very quickly,” the homeowners shared.
“I’m not scared,” said Milen, 7, who had brought a bottle of water to one of the firefighters. “I want to be like those guys in helmets!” After receiving a report of a burning roof of a house in Rogosh village, 3 fire engines were sent to the village.
A fire on the roof of a house is one of the most specific and complicated to put out. The height of the building, slippery tiles, difficult access and heavy smoke present a real challenge for the fieldwork. The burning area cannot be extinguished by extinguishing, as the fire has generally spread to the roof structure and attic space.
