The project mainly comprises the following measure(s):
- Adoption of new curricula
In order to ensure up-to-date education, the curriculum of the middle school is to be reissued and the following modernization steps in particular are to be implemented:
- Ensuring a sustainable professional, interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary acquisition of skills as a basis for educational success through coherent and well-coordinated curricula
- consistent continuation of the change already initiated from subject-oriented to competence-oriented teaching; The development of the syllabus thus connects to both international and national developments for increased competence orientation in lessons and in performance measurements
- Updating of the curricula and introduction of a new compulsory subject “digital basic education” in secondary level I, in order to address social changes and the change in the globalized and digitized knowledge society
- Improving the permeability in the Austrian education system and the transition of pupils from primary to secondary level I through a common content and structure
- Upgrading the cross-curricular competence development of the students by anchoring the overarching topics both in the general part of the curriculum and in the subject curricula.
- Retention of the subsidiary timetable and continuation of the school-autonomous design options in a coherent, comparable form
The measure in question will not have any financial impact on the federal government, the federal states, the municipalities or on the social insurance institutions.
