CelebritiesAlthough a judge has ruled that Dr. Dre has to pay his ex-wife Nicole Young almost 90 million euros after their ‘divorce’, according to insiders, the rapper would be anything but sad about it. Dre owns about 725 million euros, so for him this amount is a mere penny.

Dre, whose real name is André Romelle Young, now has to pay Nicole 45 million euros and that amount again next year. The reason Nicole doesn’t get half of his entire fortune after 24 years of marriage is because pre-signed terms and conditions. And although she later challenged it, because after 24 years she believed she was entitled to more, the judge did not agree. She also has to pay her own attorney’s fees, which have now run into the millions.

The music producer will retain seven of the houses they have purchased, as well as all of his music rights, registered trademarks and shares in various partnerships and trust funds. The main shares he still owns are Apple’s, which also includes the profits from the sale of its Beats By Dre headphones. In doing so, he keeps six of their cars, while Nicole gets four.

Nicole gets to keep all the jewelry, bank accounts and cash she received during their marriage. According to insiders, she should have agreed with the proposal Dre made to her last year, because then she would have more left. “This is really a joke,” said an insider. “She has been pushing for a ridiculously high amount of alimony per month that Dre has objected. And now she gets twice the amount and she doesn’t have to count on anything more. That was not clever of her, now she has to make do with this.”
