DPR Question 14 Waskita Fictitious Projects, Inspected by KPK?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The working meeting of the House of Representatives Commission VI along with a number of BUMN boss’s works was colored by questions related to alleged fictitious projects. The question was raised by the legislators to the President Director of PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT), Destiawan Soewardjono.

One member of Commission VI who asked this issue was Muhammad Toha from the PKB faction. He even mentioned the examination which took place almost every day.

Although not mentioning the details of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Toha’s remarks signaled through the letter code.

“We see updates in three letters, see updates every day for Waskita. Sorry I have to say this though [Direksi] new everything, every day checked sir. Please, what is the problem I want to convey ?, “Toha asked during a meeting on Wednesday (1/7/20).

He continued, information reached him that the inspection was related to Waskita Karya’s involvement as a sub-contractor in a number of fictitious projects.

“Please, Clairvoyant, if you can explain it, please explain, how come every day I see the three-letter update, every day. Let us also know, this is our anticipation so that it is not like before. It was an event that was not now,” he said.

The same thing was conveyed by another legislator, Ananta Wahana from the PDIP Faction. He even mentioned the number of alleged fictitious projects involving Waskita Karya.

“Waskita, if I am not mistaken, Mr. Toha was also said to have been involved in a fictitious project, if I am not mistaken, there were 14 projects, including in Banten. I hope this will get a story so we can explain,” he explained.

He stressed that this problem if not given an explanation could tarnish the names of Waskita and BUMN.

“Because what was said about Waskita’s involvement as a BUMN handling this fictitious work is funny,” he said.

Meanwhile, Waskita Karya’s Managing Director, Destiawan Soewardjono, briefly gave an explanation. This case, according to him, is the attention of the new directors.

“For these fictitious procurement projects it also makes our attention in the new team not to be repeated and we will conduct a special audit, socialization related to this so that in the future it will not happen again,” Destiawan said.
