Doskozil denies contact with ex-commercial bank boss Pucher

The governor of Burgenland, Hans Peter Doskozil (SPÖ), denied on Tuesday in “ZiB 2” that someone other than the Financial Market Authority (FMA) had heard of the closure of the Mattersburger commercial bank. The “Salzburger Nachrichten” recently reported that Martin Pucher, the former head of the bank, which was closed due to a balance sheet scandal, had personally informed Doskozil. “There was no contact with Pucher,” Doskozil denied. He also had no problem publishing his phone logs. The SPÖ would also approve an investigation committee – already threatened by the ÖVP Burgenland – in the state parliament.
