A banker was found dead in Lisbon and associated with the fraud against the richest woman in Africa, Isabel dos Santos. He would have killed himself.
Nuno Ribeiro da Cunha worked as a director at the EuroBic bank, where he managed the assets of the Angolan oil company Sonangol, which was led by Dos Santos.
The discovery of the body of Da Cunha followed shortly after it became known that justice in Angola officially accused Da Cunha and Dos Santos of embezzlement and money laundering. Dos Santos is said to have raised a total of around 2 billion euros thanks to corruption and favoritism.
Dos Santos contradicts the accusations.
