This Thursday, Borussia Dortmund announced the arrival of Thomas Meunier (28) free from Paris Saint-Germain. The Red Devil has initialed a four-season contract with the BVB and will therefore not end the season with the French Champion. However, the general manager of the German club Hans-Joachim Watzke raised the possibility that Meunier would finally finish the 2019-2020 financial year with PSG. Statements that have sown trouble over the near future of the Belgian international.
But according to information from Parisian, such a scenario seems hardly conceivable. If Thiago Silva, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Sergio Rico have extended for two months with emoluments similar to those of their previous contract, Meunier has achieved a great deal on the financial front by joining Dortmund. The operation turns out to be even more complex since a return of Thomas Meunier to Paris would in fact imply a paying loan of two months. Not sure that Parisian leaders are considering this possibility while they are mainly looking to save money this summer …
