On Wednesday afternoon (27/03), Dora Chrysikou was invited to the “Studio 4” show, who, among other things, mentioned the difficult battle she fought with cancer.
More specifically, the actress shared a story that made her feel uncomfortable, when a reporter told her that her hair is kind of embarrassing.
Then, as Dora Chrysikou reports, she approached him and told him that her hair is somehow because it is not hers and she has cancer, with the man who asked her to lose it and apologize. In fact, the actress pointed out that from that moment she said she would not allow anyone to make her feel uncomfortable again.
In fact, her story was so touching that it brought Nancy Zampetoglou to tears.
What Dora Chrysikou said
«We did the party at Mega for the Land of Olives. I was bald then, with false eyelashes and a wig. A person who saw me understood that this is not the image of a person who is completely healthy.
A journalist approached me and looked at me strangely. He said to me: Hey Dora, can I ask you something? Your hairs are kinda. I understood that he was not the man who, out of concern or real curiosity, wants to elicit information, but who goes to spread gossip. Then I remember feeling so uncomfortable and I said I’m going to make a mirror. I will return this shame and inconvenience to you.
There were other people around. I was with a glass of wine, I approached him and told him that my hair is strange because it’s not mine. I wear a wig because I have cancer and am undergoing treatments. He lost it, apologized and then I said that I will never allow anyone to make me feel so uncomfortable and bad again. Such a stigma because I got sick.
I said I would always return this. Then I realized that I should not be ashamed and that I owe it to the partners – who should be charged a strange image of a man who looks. I was 50 kilos and I was overweight. Even on Twitter they wrote take her hat off. Why should the man who makes the suits be charged for it? I said that all my life I have stood for truth and honesty and now I must do it before this world that will see me».
