Established for seven years in Soumoulou (1,500 inhabitants), between Pau and Tarbes, the Kame House Tatoo Club has carved out a good reputation for itself, which goes beyond the limits of Béarn. But, since Tuesday and the establishment of containment to fight
the coronavirus, this tattoo parlor is stopped, like the majority of companies in the country.

Also, Thursday afternoon, Nadège went to drop gloves, masks and hydroalcoholic gel in the medical office of her village. “It is useless now, it was better to give them rather than sleep with us,” says the young woman of 32, a specialist in piercing while his companion Maxime, aka “Mask Vader”, is devoted to tattooing with another colleague and an apprentice.

“When I called the office and offered the equipment, they said yes right away. Here is how some 400 nitrile or latex gloves, around forty disposable paper masks (used by tattoo artists or clients in the event of illness) and the gel remaining in stock were made available to caregivers.

Other examples in Dax, Bordeaux, Toulouse…

“Many tattoo artists and piercers have already done so, in Dax, Bordeaux and Toulouse in particular,” says Nadège, who hopes that these gestures will inspire other colleagues, also unemployed. “On social networks, we support each other. We are in the process of inquiring about the help that we can have. In the meantime, the Kame House Tatoo is playing the solidarity card.
