The musician was in debt of PLN 1 million as a result of the actions of his former associates. The situation had an impact on his health. – Don Vasyl is an honest man. He once trusted the wrong people who misled him – the musician’s manager told Onet.
According to reports, the problems were caused by employees who had not settled the activities and revenues of the Don Vasyl and Gypsy Stars with the tax office for years. The arrears towards the State Treasury grew.
The case went to a bailiff. The finances of Don Vasyl and his musicians were plunged by a pandemic coronawirusa, preventing, like many others, from performing for the public.

The artist told “Fakt” about the current financial situation.
– All my family, sons and grandchildren, we live off music, concerts, just like my father and grandfather. We can’t do anything else. It was a huge blow for us, we had no income for over a year and a half. We sold everything, and now we are earning extra money – he commented.
– It will be beautiful, colorful and fabulous – he added, assuring that the worst is behind him.
Recently, Don Vasyl could be heard on TVP. On Sunday, July 18, he will play during the Summer Tour of Two in Płock.
Don Vasyl is the stage name of Vasyl Schmidt, who until 1989 was called Kazimierz Doliński. In 1987 he founded the band Don Vasyl i Roma, which was later renamed Don Vasyl i Gypsy Stars. He has several dozen albums to his credit, 11 of which have been certified gold.
