On Instagram, he called producer Irwin Winkler “sad” and his children and co-producers “retarded vultures.” The actor, who plays title character Rocky Balbao in the franchise, went on to write: “I never wanted Rocky characters to be exploited by these parasites.” He also said that while he respects Lundgren, he was disappointed that the Swede never told him about the plans.

entertainment">Lundgren made more clear in a social media post on Sunday. “There’s no script yet, no deal and no director yet and I was under the impression that my friend Sly was involved as a producer and maybe even an actor,” Lundgren said in a photo of Stallone pretending to punch him. “Something was leaked to the press this week and that is unfortunate. But I am now in contact with Mr Balboa so the fans can calm down.”
