Dollar prices fell today, Monday, June 8, 2020, against the Egyptian pound, for the first time in a week, after the green paper recorded during the past days, a record number of increases against the local currency, since the beginning of this year, as it rose during that short period by about 34 piasters, To exceed the barrier of 16 pounds in all banks operating in Egypt.
At the end of today’s trading, the dollar exchange rate in banks fell by about two piasters to four piasters, as the price fell to 16.13 pounds for purchase, and 16.23 pounds for sale at the National Bank of Egypt and Egypt, compared to the price of Sunday, which reached 16.15 pounds for purchase, And 16.25 pounds for sale.

The price in the Central Bank of Egypt decreased to 16.12 pounds for purchase, 16.26 for sale, as well as in the United Bank it decreased to 16.14 pounds for purchase and 16.24 pounds for sale, while Credit Agricole fell to 16.14 pounds for purchase, and 16.24 pounds for sale.

The decline in the dollar’s prices against the Egyptian pound comes today, Monday, in light of the IMF’s approval of a $ 5.2 billion loan for Egypt for a year, while the central bank announced yesterday that foreign reserves decreased by about one billion dollars in May, to reach $ 36 billion after it was $ 45 billion before the emerging Corona virus crisis.
