Dolj County Report: No Clinical Cases of Influenza, Rising Respiratory Virus Cases

Last week, 1,304 cases of IACRS (Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infections), 342 cases of acute pneumonia and zero clinical cases of influenza were registered in Dolj County. Practically, according to the press release issued by the Dolj Public Health Directorate, there is no danger in the territory.

The total number – 1,646 – of cases of respiratory viruses and flu registered in the mentioned period is increasing compared to the previous week (1,375). The population incidence rate of IACRS cases was 192.08 o/oooo, flu 0.0 o/oooo and of pneumopathies was 50.38 o/oooo. The share of hospitalizations in the total number of cases was 12.45%. “Regarding the anti-influenza vaccination of the population, starting this year the anti-influenza vaccination is carried out according to Ord. MS 3120/2023, by prescribing, issuing and settling, in the compensation regime of immunological drugs, in the offices of family doctors. Until this date, the number of vaccinated people in Dolj County is 46,026. Since there is no proof of the circulation of flu viruses in the population, we characterize the week as a lack of flu activity”, stated DSP Dolj representatives.
