Angel DiMaria already returned to Juventus after winning World Cup 2022 with Argentina. However, Di Maria suffered an injury.
Di Maria became one of Argentina’s stars when they beat France in the final. He contributed a goal and earned Argentina a penalty.
After getting a further portion of the holiday after the world champion, Di Maria and Leandro Paredes returned to Turin in early January. The former Paris Saint-Germain player then took part in a training session, but ended up with an injury.
This condition is certainly harmful for Juventus. He was even ridiculed by Juventus fans on social media, who were considered not as spirited as when they were defending their homeland.
Di Maria was believed to have failed to maintain his physical condition. The 34-year-old full-back is also being compared to Aaron Ramsey, who has always been good at international level but struggled when he returned to Juventus.
“This kid is still celebrating (winning the World Cup) until January 1 and he’s fine, and now after training he’s injured,” pointed out a fan on Twitter, quoted by Football Italia.
Juventus confirmed that Di Maria will be absent when he travels to the Cremonese headquarters on Thursday (5/1/2023) at the morning WIB. Juventus must continue its winning trend as before the World Cup break.
