Do you have a business card? O2 will start sending you an invoice soon

Czech O2 is arriving on the domestic market with an interesting novelty that could facilitate access to billing for some customers. As the first operator in the Czech Republic, it offers the possibility of sending invoices for services to a data mailbox. In the first phase, which starts as early as December, this option will concern client companies and the state administration. Next, O2 plans it also offer to regular end customers.

“Data boxes are highly secure. Both sender and recipient are verified and trusted and the content of the message cannot be changed in any way. Also, for companies, this is a cheaper delivery method than in the case of a paper invoice in an envelope,” explains Tomáš Linhart, Director of Public Administration at O2. He added that, compared to the current up to 72 crowns per a registered letter with delivery note, entrepreneurs will now pay for sending an invoice via data mailbox only 19 CZK. The state administration therefore has this form of free delivery.

Billing can also be done using the data box send in two formats, not only in PDF, but also in ISDOC. “Thanks to this it will be possible to automatically import the data into the company’s economic or accounting systems, as ISDOC is optimized and standardized for electronic invoicing. This eliminates the tedious manual entry of individual billing items for companies, including the risk of manipulation by an unauthorized person or the occurrence of human error,” adds Linhart.

Additionally, O2 offers customers guaranteed long-term storage. Billing is like this stored securely and never lost. Corporate customers can change the settings themselves and activate the billing service via data box in My O2 in the “Billing settings” section. The operator has calculated that this alone is a saving of over 260,000 sheets of paper and 50,000 envelopes each month.

In what form do you now receive the invoice from the operator?
