GENEVA – Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) President Pozdnyakov told reporters on Wednesday that he would ask the Ukrainian Olympic Committee not to try to boycott the Paris Olympics next year. TASS reported.
As Russia continues to invade, the Ukrainian Olympic Committee has decided to discuss the possibility of not participating in the Paris Olympics in earnest in case Russia and Belarus return to international competition. “An attempt to boycott the Olympics cannot be successful for the host country. We urge the Ukrainian Olympic Committee not to carry out the boycott,” Pozdnyakov said.
