The DKI Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) summoned teachers at SMPN 88 West Jakarta (Jakbar) after three students were hit by a car while taking shelter at the school security post. Through this summons, the DKI Education Department ensured that the teacher was responsible for his three students.
“So I have called the principal, deputy principal, and teacher and stated that I am committed to continuing to accompany, accompany, help out of a sense of responsibility and guilt,” said Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Service Purwosusilo when contacted, Friday (19/1/ 2024).
Purwosusilo said B was devastated by the incident that happened to his students. He also admitted that there was no element of intent in the incident.

Purwosusilo also requested that in the future no more teachers park their cars in schools with narrow locations. This is to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
“I asked, ‘Did you do it on purpose or not’? ‘You did it on purpose, sir, I’m sorry, I’m really sorry’. It’s called a narrow school location, there should be no parking inside the school. I said that. So that the children can be free,” he explained.
The three students with the initials AD, IK and A who were hit by car B were grade 7 students at SMP 88 West Jakarta. On Thursday (11/1), a car driven by teacher B hit the three of them while they were taking shelter at the school security post.
The first child with the initials AD had bruises on his body. Meanwhile, two other children, IK and A, experienced pain in their stomachs after the incident so they were taken to hospital.
In fact, A had to undergo surgery because his bladder was bleeding. Now the condition of the three children is gradually improving.
“We are ascertaining what condition our children are in. I assigned officers from the department to visit the three children and their families. Thank God, AD, who had bruises, is healthy, he will go to school tomorrow Monday,” he explained.
“Then IK, who had a CT scan and was examined and treated, has improved and A, who after surgery, is now in the HCU room and is getting better, can communicate and I have monitored everything like his condition,” he continued.
