Rimparer A-Jugend qualifies again for the youth league

After 5 qualifying rounds and 16 tournament games, the youngsters from Rimpar play again in the youth league, which includes the strongest 40 youth teams in Germany. The qualifying marathon started in mid-March with the Bavarian pre-qualification in Friedberg. Due to errors in the implementation regulations, the tournament had to be repeated again at short notice at the beginning of April. In the end, TSV Allach, HT Munich and DJK Rimpar were allowed to take part in the qualification at DHB level. In the first tournament, the direct tickets for the youth league were awarded. In Neuhausen, the Rimparer faced Jano Fildern, who should also qualify for the JBLH in the course of the tournament, the SG JHA Baden and Team Stuttgart. With a narrow defeat against Team Baden, a defeat against Jano Fildern and a win against Team Stuttgart, the Rimparers secured entry into the next round, in which three more tickets for the nationwide finals were awarded. While DJK Rimpar was able to celebrate the next step towards the Bundesliga as a tournament winner in their home hall, the Bavarian representatives from the south, TSV Allach and HT Munich unfortunately lost out in this tournament and will play in the Bayernliga next season. In addition to DJK Rimpar, SG JHA Baden and HSG Konstanz were also able to buy a ticket for the nationwide finals. In the nationwide finals, the Rimparer played against HG Saarlouis and HSG Konstanz on the first day of the game. With good performances in both games, the Rimparer were able to secure a perfect starting position for the second, decisive day of the tournament with 4 points. In the first game, the DJK had to admit defeat to the strong Eintracht, who rightly won the tournament in the end. With the win against the SG JHA Baden in the second game, the Rimparer were able to make the renewed entry into the youth league perfect. “We are incredibly proud of the development of the team in terms of character and play. We had to compensate for the loss of a number of top performers throughout the qualification and many players have grown into roles with more responsibility. The boys have had to face an incredible amount of adversity on and off the record this year. This means that qualifying is all the more important for us this year,” said the coaching team after the successful last tournament. With the youth league qualification, the Rimparer talents have again created the best conditions for the coming season. All youth teams play in the highest league of their respective age group. In addition to the C and B youth in the Bayernliga and the A youth in the youth league, the Rimparer also play with the C2 youth in the ÜBOL and the B2 and A2 youth in the state league. “Today we are reaping the rewards of the hard work of our coaches over the past few years. Many of the talents have been playing in Rimpar since the C and D youth. The start of this year’s qualifying phase was initially bumpy. It’s all the better that the team has shown a completely different face in the last two tournaments. We were only able to overcome personnel bottlenecks this year thanks to the good cooperation with all coaches, especially our B youth coaches, who had to do without some players almost completely in the last few weeks,” says youth coordinator Bastian Krenz. After a short break, the youth team with the coaching team around Martin Frank, Luca Frank and Robin Scheler-Eckstein will start preparing for the coming season together with the young wolves on July 1st. For the C and B youth, the preparation starts after the Pentecost holidays. The season starts for the A youth on 9./10. September.
