“DIY Puking Rainbow Mask: A Snapchat-Inspired Halloween Tutorial”

(bell rings) – [Locutor] Indy Mogulween. – Hello everyone and welcome
to the second week of the month-long Indy Mogul Halloween celebration
. This week
I was going to show you how to create this fake bleeding knife effect,
but it didn’t really work. So instead of that,
I’ll show you how to create this amazing
DIY puking rainbow mask inspired by Snapchat. I have to get a real smoke machine. For those who know,
the throwing up rainbow lenses were easily one of the best
selfies released by Snapchat.

With his bulging eyes, his
huge mouth and its beautiful shimmering rainbow vomit stream. Unfortunately I did not buy these
glasses when I had the chance, so I’m forced to live
my snapchat life with the filters they offer for free. I am bread, do you understand? Fortunately, you can do the
DIY version of these lenses for under $10. Let us begin. (electronics beeping) Okay, the first thing that
you want to do is [ __ ] one of these, one
latex buck teeth mask that I found on Amazon for eight bucks, which for some
reason it smelled like gasoline when I opened it.

Everything else you probably already have at home. Hot glue, paper, a
color printer or some markers, and some ping pong balls. The first thing I did was
create a really horrible test rainbow with a leaf
of paper and some markers. clearly i’m bad
coloring and yes, I know, I forgot the yellow. However, this was a good test
and it helped me determine how wide my vomit should be. three inches, that
wide should be my vomit. I then turned on the
computer and Photoshopped a printable vomit using
images stolen from the internet. I added some black around
where the mouth will go and then I created a second page
with a sort of spread of vomit.

I printed them, then
I glued them like this. Next, I wanted to get rid of
the upper teeth of the mask, so I cut them in half with scissors, folded them back, and glued them together with
hot glue. Now take your vomit and
carefully thread it through the mouth hole, then hot glue it on
in place from within. I also reinforced the part of
back with some tape because the paper started to tear. Bottom half, done. Let’s move on to the eyes. Now if you’re super talented and careful you might just get away
with yours with just a ping pong ball to create both eyes, but I
I would get four to be sure. Or you could be like me
and accidentally ordering 144 ping pong balls on Amazon. What, it was like seven bucks. The basic idea here is
have giant pupils and honestly
I drew mine with a sharpie.

I have blue eyes so I filled in
the iris with a bit of paint, but honestly you could use a marker. Next, I carefully cut a small hole in the middle of each pupil.
that will allow me to see It looks kind of awful here,
but when it’s on your face, the holes pretty much vanish. As is, these eyeballs were pretty shiny, but as an option, you can spray them
with a bit of Clear Coat for a wetter look. The final step is
carefully cut around the iris in a kind of egg shape. My fake eyes remained
in place with my glasses, but you could easily adhere them with some liquid latex if you wanted.

Finally, I tried some basic face paint in an attempt to balance my
skin tone with that of the mask. This didn’t work out so well. Ok I think that looks pretty good let’s call Peesha
and let’s see what you think. She walks in, closes her eyes. Here I will take your hand. Okay, take a look. (laughter) (groans) What do you think? (Laughter) Do you like it? – Yes, the eyes are the worst. (groans) – It’s even creepier for you. (angry groans) Alright everyone, that
conclude this episode. If you want to make this build at home, check out the links in the description. We have a printable PDF of the vomit and of course a link to buy
that really creepy mask. Oh also and make sure
tune in next week or maybe subscribe because
I will build a DIY version of the
Evil Dead chainsaw arm. Bye everyone, huh.

oooh. Have you seen this episode yet? It’s pretty good. Also, this episode is even better. Yeah check them out..
