The freeway in the direction of Graz had to be completely closed for the clean-up work of the fire brigade.
According to the ÖAMTC, the traffic jam reached a length of around ten kilometers. A large-scale diversion was established via the Guntramsdorf A3 junction – Eisenstadt S31 junction – Mattersburg S4 node back to the Wiener Neustadt junction on the A2 towards Graz.
The cleanup will take at least another hour (as of 7.30 a.m.). The ÖAMTC therefore recommends a large-scale avoidance.
